During our trip to London we decided to visit the Warner Bros Studios, where the Harry Potter movies were shot. Located a few miles outside of London, we advise you to take a visit there as this is truly a magical experience! You’ll be able to visit the studios, discover the real outfits that were worn by the actors, drink a Butterbear, admire the wax statues and even record yourself flying on a broomstick!
We decided to book the full tour with the Golden Tours company (transportation in a Harry Potter bus from and back to London + entrance tickets), which is called the Making-Of of Harry Potter. We paid for this option 66GBP per person. The ride inside the bus is very nice as they play along the way the first movie of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
After buying your tickets at the entrance, you will be taken into a group tour and enter the first room. There, a staff member will tell you more information about the studios tour, what you are going to see, emphasizing thanks to videos and actors’ filmed declarations on how magical the Harry Potter adventure has been. After this, your tour really starts as you enter the Great Hall. From this point, you are free to continue the visit from how you want.
Before entering the second part of the tour, you have the option to take a break and buy some (expensive) food. And you can also find a stand to buy the famous Butterbear. I msut say I was a bit scared before tasting it as I read some bad reviews, but it is quite nice. It tastes like an gazy apple juice with metled whipcream on top. Very sweet but not so bad!

We visited the Harry Potter studios at winter. Although this is a great attraction to visit all year long, you can feel something special during winter. Right before the end of the tour, you find yourself in front of an enormous Hogwards model under the snow. This was the highpeak of the tour! It is beyond magical.
At the end of the tour, you’ll find the gift shops of the studios. You can basically buy anything you could dream of: Jelly beans, chocolate frogs, wands, pens, keychains, action figures, clothes etc.
Like in the movies, you can taste the beans at your own risk! Among the tastes: lemon, cinnamon, marshmallow, pepper, earwax and soap!
Being a fan of Harry Potter since the first book came out, it was a magical experience for me to see the behind-the-scenes of my favorite movies. You also feel cut out of the world for a few hours -and it doesn’t happen a lot! I loved everything that we were able to see, it is an amazing attraction for everyone (not just Harry Potter fans or kids).
