There are a few hotels that you’re staying at that you won’t be able to forget. Ever. Hotel Regina Vienna is one of them.
During our first trip to Vienna in February 2016 and celebrating our one year anniversary, we decided to look for a nice hotel located near the main attractions of the city. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Here’s why.
That’s one of (my only?) top priorities when booking a hotel. I don’t want to waste my time on travelling back and forth to the main center; I like having all the best spots close to the place I’m staying at. Hotel Regina is located on the Alsergrund district of Vienna, one of the most popular ones. It has tons of cafes and shops around and easy public transport access (metro is just 150 meters away!).
Beautiful inside & out
You can’t miss the Regina Hotel building. You wander across the city, bordered with churches and parks…and suddenly, you come across this huge ancient authentic building, with big letters on the roof written REGINA HOTEL. Although it was night when we actually arrived, the building was nonetheless imposing. When we came inside and checked in to get to our room, we entered another world. It was like stepping into the 19th century. The decoration of the rooms are very classy and ancient. Curtains, painted frames, chairs, lamps, furniture… everything tend to remember the traditional Viennese History. Our suite contained a bedroom, a entrance space with a couch and a splendid bathroom.
Hotel Regina: 4* star service quality
We paid 225 EUR for 3 nights. Regarding the hotel’s references (4* star well located) and its service, it was a great price. Upon our arrival, the hotel gently welcomed us in our room with a chocolate cake specially made and a personal letter to congratulate us for the occasion of our anniversary. This was an incredibly nice gesture of them! Breakfast was also included in the price we paid and delicious, served in the beautiful restaurant of the hotel.
The staff was very helpful, guiding us through the best parts attractions of Vienna and giving us discounts/coupons for many activities (hop on/off buses, opera shows etc.). I definitely recommend you this hotel if you’re staying at Vienna since we have had an amazing stay all along.
