A week-end in Paris – Day 1
In March 2018, I was able to give myself a short stay in Paris (combining work and personal visits). This was of course not the first time I came to Paris, but I still take so much pleasure to come back to discover this city that never ceases to amaze me. Here is a little guide of ideas on what to do and what to visit, divided in 2 days. It is far from being complete – but at the same time, what do you really have time to discover in such a short time? Here is the summary of my (very) short weekend alongside with my best friend. Florence the magnificent
There are places that mark you forever. You just set foot there and it’s the instant blow of heart. That’s what happened to me with the beautiful city of Florence, Italy. Unfortunately, it is often put aside, because it is true, Italy can boast of having real jewels: Rome, Venice, Cinque Terre, Amalfi Coast … And yet, Florence does not have to blush of its sisters. On the contrary.

Anyone who is interested in the world of gastronomy has probably heard the name of Tim Raue, the Berlin Michelin starred-chef, also known as one of the best of his generation. The excellent series of “Chef’s Tables” from Netflix has also devoted an episode for him. So it is quite natural that, once we booked our tickets for Berlin, we thought it would be an opportunity to sit at his table.

One-day trip: We’re visiting Potsdam
Potsdam is usually known as the Versailles of Germany. It is due to the fact that Frederick the Great inspired himself from Louis XIV to build his Sanssouci Palace. Only 35km away from Berlin, we jumped on the occasion to make a one day trip and visit this special city.

Our week-end trip in Berlin – Day 2
On our second day, we decided to explore the capital and see all the highlights there is to discover. Berlin is a very cultural city with a rich history. One of the strongest and famous place to see is of course, the Berlin Wall – or what’s left of it, anyway.

Our week-end trip in Berlin – Day 1
For a few years, my husband has been longing to go to Berlin. As we were planning on a short trip for our third-year anniversary, we first hesitated between Rome and Berlin. We had both visited Rome but separately. But then, it made sense that it was better to go on an adventure and discover an unknown destination together – therefore, Berlin it was !
